What’s mid-century modern?
Think of clean lines, function, and not a lot of decoration. It's somewhat plain, but it is also a period when designers experimented with contrasting textures and materials, such as a throw rug on top of a concrete floor or a soft carpet with sleek furnishings.
This spin-off of German Bauhaus decor took hold from the early 1930s to the mid-1960s.
Wood floors: a staple of this style
It's almost impossible to talk about mid-century modern without including wood. So, LVF offers hardwood looks with embossed planks that add texture, such as the smooth surfaces that were so popular in the homes of the 1950s.
Since all images are taken with high-definition photography, they are precise and accurate, so look for wood with subtle grain patterns and not many knots and swirls. This vinyl can even be cut into planks called luxury vinyl plank or LVP.
Stone and tile looks
This can also be cut into square, tile-sized pieces called Luxury Vinyl Tile or LVT. Stone is strong in this decor, including slate, travertine, terrazzo, and limestone--all of which you can get with LVF. Black and white tile in kitchens and baths scream "mid-century," while retro patterns, hexagon mosaics, as do penny shapes and jewel tones.
